My second trip to Boracay..  I consider it one heck of a rollercoaster ride..  It was a mix of excitement, annoyance, fear, happiness, sadness, disappointment, annoyance again, and way too much fear in the end….  Whew! I’m just so thankful, I’m back in Manila safe and sound…
.
.

So, it was my second time to go to Boracay..  I’m with Lhianne, Camille & Grace, sort of a girl bonding trip..  Lhianne’s back from the States just for a vacation and she treated us with this trip..  So, we’re on the airport around 9AM, Nov 2..  When we were on the check-in counter, they told us that they can find Lhianne on their database.. we had the tickets so we’re sure that she should be on that plane with us.. it took them around 15mins to find her on the list, and give us her boarding pass.. Major Annoyance/Disappointment #1..
.
.

We were supposed to board 11AM, but then suddenly they paged us and informed us that we have to change flights because there was a problem with the jet plane.. Major Annoyance/Disappointment#2, Fear#1..  I knew it! I was really hesitant to take an Asean Spirit flight..  I’d prefer Seair even if it would cost us 900bucks more that what Asean Spirit offered..  Anyway, we boarded 12NN, and I was really praying inside the airplane..  My friends can’t talk to me ‘coz I was scared..  30mins later, we landed in Caticlan airport..  Thank God!
.
.

We had roundtrip transfers so somebody was already waiting for us to go to the resort..  We arrived at the Waling - Waling Beach Resort around 1:30PM and the room that we got had a nice view of the beach..  It was amazing! Major Excitement#1..
.
.

We settled in, and went out for lunch at Hey Jude! restaurant..  We were so hungry and we dived in soon as the waitress laid out our food..  Hehehe!
.
.

Went back to the room, rested for an hour, then changed and went straight to the beach..  There was a lot of people and it was fun seeing the kids play around..  Camille, Grace & I enjoyed swimming..  After a few minutes, we headed back to the shore, and decided to take a shower and get ready for dinner..
.
.

The room package that we availed at the resort included daily dinner, so we didn’t have to go out and look for a place to eat..  The dinner was served A La Carte and it started with appetizers, soup & salad, then the Main Course, and then  there was dessert..  Yummy!! Major Excitement#2..
.
.

After dinner, we got ready for the club..  Imago & Callalily were playing at Club Paraw so we stayed there and had some booze..  I’m a fan of Callalily and I haven’t seen them play on stage yet so I was so excited to see them..  Major Excitement#3 for me..  Kean even went through thye crowd while singing and I got to see him close..  Teehee!!  They played 5 songs and soon as they’re done, we also finished our drinks so we decided to head back to the resort and get some sleep..
.
.

The next day, we had breakfast buffet, so we again enjoyed the food and got ready for our island hopping..  Had my henna done while waiting for Lhianne, took pictures in the beach, and met up with the boatman for the tour..  We went to Crystal Cove, enjoyed the view, took the pictures and went back to the boat..  We were supposed to go to Puka Beach for lunch but then the boatman told us that the waves are too strong, it won’t be safe to go to Puka..  Disappointment#3..
.
.

We had our lunch instead at Diniwid Beach, but didn’t really enjoyed the food..  Aside from it was expensive, the food itself wasn’t really great..  I was soo craving for Garlic Buttered Shrimps, but didn’t get one unfortunately..  Disappointment#4 for me…
.
.

Went back to Station 1, stayed at the beach for a couple of hours, then walked around Station 2 and D’Mall for about an hour..  Had a massage after, then dinner..
.
.

Went to BomBom Bar for some booze, walked back to the resort for yet another sleep…
.
.

Woke up early, took a shower, had breakfast then went to D’Mall to buy some pasalubong for my friends..  We were all set to go back to Manila and arrived at the airport around 11AM..
.
.

Now, here’s the Greatest Disappointment/Annoyance/Fear of the whole trip..  We were supposed to be on the 6K882 flight back to Manila, supposed to board 1245PM..  When we checked in, they told us that they’re gonna move us to an earlier flight, 1210NN..  So we thought: "Great, we’ll arrive in Manila early.."..  Then came an announcement that the flight will be delayed due to an engine trouble with the plane and thorough air servicing is needed..  They told us that boarding time will be at 1:45PM..  They served us free sandwich & drinks for compensation..  Damn! As if, we’ll all feel better after eating a tuna sandwich..  Anyway, we were paged around 1:30PM and when we got tot the counter, they told us that they have to move us to a 2:30PM flight because there are still some problems with the aircraft.. Arggh!! I was sooo pissed off, I really can’t talk and think straight anymore…  2:15PM, they announced that our flight is ready for boarding, so we stood up and settled inside the plane..  Just as I was almost calmed down, they told us that we had to go down again, and go back to the lounge because the left propel of the plane wasn’t spinning..  Grrrrr!!  I’ve reallllyy had it…  Damn!! I’ve decided, I’m never flying Asean Spirit again..  They had to get one more plane, to get us and take us back to Manila..  Soon as I settled in my seat, I can’t stop praying ‘coz every now and then the seatbelt sign lights up and the plane was shaky, I was really uncomfortable during the flight..  I was ready to take a nap, but everytime I’m about to sleep, the plane would suddenly shake and I get scared once again..  Even when it was about to land, the plane was still trembling..  Thank God, 4:00PM, we landed safe and sound..
.
.

I’ll say that this trip was not nearly as exciting as the first..  I was more scared than delighted..  I’m just really thankful that I’m back in Manila, safe and alive…….

Last night was the most beautiful wedding that I’ve been to..  Aside from the place where it was held, the whole celebration was amazing..
.
.
It was Merj & Jansen’s wedding..  Merj was the first in our barkada to tie the knot and we were all so excited to go..  Jaja & I had our hair done and went straight to Jen’s house to dress up..  We met up with Ann, Cathy, Che and their friend Iris..  We slipped on the dresses, fixed our make up, and we were ready to go..
.
.

The wedding ceremony was held at San Agustin Church in Intramuros..  Seeing Merj walk down the aisle was just breathtaking..  She was so beautiful and it’s obvious that they love each other very much and they can’t wait to get married..  The ceremony was so organized and solemn and now I’ve proven that having a wedding coordinator makes a big difference in the event..
.
.

We then went to the reception after, which was held at Coconut Palace..  Again, the setting was so pretty and we can’t stop taking pictures of everyone..  Their videos was so good and I was amazed at the onsite video presentation because it was done in just 2 hours, considering that everything just happened moments ago.. ‘Twas so cool!  Of course, the food was awesome and I was sooo hungry, I had filled up my plate in the buffet..  The traditional cutting of the cake, throwing of the bouquet and garter, the speeches and the first dance was so nice..  I even got teary eyed when we were watching one of the videos because it was just so beautiful..  And what struck me most was the fireworks display!!! How nice!!  I can imagine how long they’ve planned for it and how much they spent..  Whew! Anyway, I know it’s all worth it because they looked sooo in love and I know that their marriage will definitely work out..  We partied afterwards and danced on the floor while the band was playing and I think we were the last ones to leave the place.. We went to Serendra after for a nightcap and had some hot cocoa..
.
.

As always, being with my friends is so much fun, and the night was full of laughter and smiles.. I’ll say this is one of the most memorable events that the Kada had…
.
.
.

Oh, and just a quick note (’coz I said, I’m gonna post it in..)  After Serendra, we decided to head back to Makati to drop off Trisha in their condo.. Jen, being the driver, said she knows where to go but then I noticed that we were actually going in circles and had passed Fully Booked three times already… It was as if we don’t wanna leave Serendra..  We were all laughing so hard and Jen realized that we were actually going the wrong way..  Good thing, we managed to get out of Bonifacio…  "Serendra, serendra.. I keep coming back to Serendra…." Hahahahaha!!!

I dropped by Convergys a while ago since I was waiting for Galleria to open..  I thought, it’s been a while since I’ve seen my friends there and I really missed them already, so why not take the chance and go..
.
.

And so I did.. And I was so happy to be back in that building, it had been my second home for 2 years, so it was really special..  And seeing my friends made it even more amazing..  It’s been almost 6 months since I left and my heart leapt at the sight of them..  Saw my L2 teammates, Bry, Vinz, Sam & Chell..  My wavemates, Chenn, Louie & Paul..  My former TL, Karen..  And several more..  Me, Sam & Chell had lunch at KFC, and it was fun just listening to their stories on what’s happening with CVG now..
.
.

Well, I am happy with Dell now..  But of course, CVG has a special place in my heart..  And my friends there will always be remembered..  Too bad I only saw a few of them, but anyway, I’m sure I’ll see more of them soon…

Just finished watching Episode 4 of "Heroes Season 2" in YouTube..  I don’t have time to catch it in our local channel so it’s a good thing that people share it in the web..
.
The story’s getting interesting as new characters are introduced every episode..  And of course, seeing the old ones whom we thought were already dead, is quite amazing..  We’d have to wait and see what exactly happened after the last sequence of Season 1..
.
.

Anyway, the next two weekend’s gonna be exciting for me.. We’re gonna have the first wedding in our barkada on Saturday, as Merj ties the knot with her long time beau, Jansen..  I still don’t have a dress though and I have about 5 days to look for one.. Although, I’ma little scared to go to the mall nowadays after what happened to Glorietta..  Dang!  Hopefully, I can find one in Eastwood or just somewhere nearby..
.
.

Lhianne’s here, and everything’s set for Boracay..  We got our tickets and our accomodations in the resort..  I just have to sort out my schedule at work, since it’s the same week that we’re gonna change shifts and I’m still not sure where I’m going..  Have to iron everything out asap…
.
.
.

Oh well..  That’s it.. Time to go to bed again.. Although technically, I just woke up 3hours ago…  Teehee!

I love the book.. And I’m lovin’ the show even more..  Too bad, it’s not shown here in the Philippines yet..  I’m hoping either ETC or Studio23 would be able to get the rights, but I guess until the season’s over, they won’t have it..  Good thing, I know how to browse around YouTube and found this episodes uploaded by several good samaritans in the world wide web..
.
.

Their take on the story was so cool, a little bit different from the book version but it still has the main plot and the main characters..  Those who love "One Tree Hill" and "The OC", just like me, will surely love this new series..
.
.

If you haven’t seen the show and haven’t read the book yet..  Go surf YouTube, and search for it..
.
.

Love this show!

Last night was again fun..  Dinner with Team Cancio this time..  We went to Dampa, Ortigas and feasted on seafoods..  I couldn’t get my hands off the garlic buttered shrimps.. It’s been a while since I last ate those.. We also had tempura, crispy pata, calamares, pork liempo and crabs.. I didn’t bother much with the crabs though because it was way messy to eat.. Anyway, we all enjoyed the food and was so full at the end of dinner..
.
.
Some of us went back to Eastwood afterwards for a couple of drinks..  It was raining so hard and we had a hard time finding a place because all the bars were full and we so ended in Fazoli’s instead..  Went home around 2:30 in the morning..
.
.

Just had about 3 hours of sleep today, I woke up around 6am with a headache..  I guess a bit of a hangover from last night, plus the fact that we got a little soaked in the rain looking for bars in Eastwood..  Oh well, ’twas still fun, fun, fun for me..
.
.
.

Wait for the pics to be posted, ayt!

It’s Global Community Involvement Month in the office and they have sponsored several charity events all weekends of September.  I was able to participate in this week’s event which is at Tahanang Walang Hagdanan.  I woke up early and was really anxious to see how it goes.  I was with some of my teammates and of course some of the employees and bosses of Dell..
.
.

When we got there, we went straight to the main hall where the kids were already waiting for us and some of the residents of the place.  There were programs presented and we shared our time especially with the kids.  We met Tin-tin, Paula, Kerubin & Jewel, who spent time with us.  There were food and games and lots of picture taking.  They also took us for a site tour where we got to see their work.  They have metal crafts where they build wheelchairs, woodcrafts and needlecrafts as well.  It’s amazing how even though they were handicapped, they manage to build a life of their own inside the facility.  They work, they have a family, and even if they don’t have much, they’re happy.  And I can tell from the smiles on their faces, that they appreciate us coming over to give a hand.
.
.

It was a very fulfilling day, and I’m thankful that Dell has this initiative, and I got to give my share to the community.  I can say that I’ve done something good for today.
.
.
.

I’ll post the pics with the kids soon.. Ü

Had fun with Team Valera yesterday..  We went to Monte Vista Resort in Laguna..  Had food, booze and tons of fun..  Was able to swim for a little bit but I was so tired and sleepy, I didn’t bother to go for another lap..  ‘Twas fun though, even if I’m not in their team anymore, I still feel welcomed and was one of ‘em..  Teehee!

.

Oh, and we already booked our plane tickets for Bora..  The Tropa’s all set for November, and I already fixed up my sched to make sure that I’d be able to come..  Hopefully, it won’t change at the last minute..  Can’t wait to hit the beach again..

.

.

I’ll post up the pics from yesterday, soon as I get a copy..

Summer’s over but I am looking forward to hitting the pools and the beach in the coming months..  I have several swimming outings lined up and I can’t wait..
.
.

It’s team building season in the office and I’ll be joining one of the teams that I previously handled in their outing next Friday in Laguna..  Aside from that, my current team will have our teambuilding by the end of September and we’ll be going to another resort in Laguna as well..
.
.

Come November, my HS friend Lhianne will be coming back here in Manila, and she will treat us in our 3days/2nights Boracay Trip..  Woohoo!  That one, I’m most excited because I missed Boracay sooo much..  And I’m gonna try skimboarding again..  Weeee!
.
.

Lastly, my Etel friends and I will be planning another overnight swimming outing also in Laguna by the first week of December..  Yey!
.
.
.

Can’t wait..  Swimming!!! Ü

.. I wanna see them on stage!
.
.

Damn, I was so excited when I learned that they’ll be in Manila for their concert tour and no less than the Araneta Coliseum..  I’m like 5 mins away from the Big Dome.. I kept on checking the site for ticket prices and there wasn’t anything posted yet until about a few minutes ago..

Hmmm, it’s a little pricey but considering that they are THE Fall Out Boy, I guess that’s just about right..  Unfortunately, I’m not sure yet if I can go watch..  I don’t know what my sked is yet for Sept and the concert’s on a Friday so unless I’m on Day Off on a Sat, I don’t believe I’d make it..  Also, most of my friends are not into their kind of music..  Some don’t even know who they are… Like HUH?!?!  Well, I guess I’m the rocker chic in our clan..  Too bad, I really wanted to watch but of course I’d look stupid if I watch it by myself.. Hahaha!
.
.

Anyway, I think Tish and her friends are coming to watch so I guess, I’ll just ask how the concert was.. Sigh!

*Sigh* =(
